Choosing a tutor is about more than a list of programmes. These are the questions families and independent students usually want answered first.
Are lessons live and one-to-one?
Yes. Every lesson is live and one-to-one; the explanation, pace, and practice adapt to the current level and goal.
How long is a lesson?
The standard lesson is 55 minutes. A shorter or longer format can be agreed in advance when the student’s age, programme, or goal calls for it.
Is my programme or level covered?
Support ranges from primary and lower-secondary mathematics through IB DP and A Level. Bring the exact syllabus or school materials so the terminology and assessment style match your course.
How do we choose a starting point?
We begin with a short conversation about the current difficulty and goal, followed by a focused diagnostic when it would be useful — not a generic test by default.
What happens between lessons?
Each lesson ends with a clear next step. Homework and materials can be organised through Google Drive, and the form of progress updates is agreed at the start.
Which languages can we use?
Lessons are available in English, Ukrainian, or Russian. Mathematical terminology follows the language and curriculum used at your school.
What is the lesson fee?
The current rate for new enquiries is confirmed in writing before the first lesson, together with the agreed duration and format. No payment is requested until these details are clear.
What about time zones, payment, and rescheduling?
Available times are matched to your time zone, and lessons are paid 100% in advance. A lesson can be moved when notice is received by 21:00 on the previous day; with later notice it is treated as held and payable.
What if I am late or away?
A late lesson uses the remaining scheduled time without an extension or price reduction. Please give seven calendar days’ notice for holidays; an absence longer than two weeks does not guarantee that the same regular time can be held.
How is communication handled?
For younger students, communication can include a parent or guardian. Contact details and learning records stay private, and expectations are agreed before lessons begin.
